Forsyth, Missouri – The local cable company that provides television, telephone and high speed internet to this area seems have been struggling lately for reasons that remain unclear to me. At least their internet service is. Over the course of many calls to their customer service department, I only had one conversation of any substance. It was when I was informed that their equipment is ‘outdated’ and ‘old’. Perhaps this is the reason for the regular loss of service I have been experiencing for over a year now. As of 2010, loss of service has now become an even more regular event. When service is provided, connection to the internet is haphazard at best and never available on a consistent basis.
I’ve come to the conclusion that, baring new management and or equipment, the substandard service may continue indefinitely. My only hope is that another competitor will come into this area so that people have a better choice than what is available now. Wait a minute! There is a second service available. *If you live in Forsyth, you can choose between either Mediacom or Suddenlink. That’s great to hear!
