You just gotta love California and her energy saving ways!

California must be an energy Mecca of some type. The chosen land of all things green and energy efficient. Now Jerry Brown has upped the ante even more by recently signing into law that enacts the nation’s toughest renewable energy mandate, requiring utilities to draw 33% of their power from solar panels, windmills and other sources by 2020. Windmills! I’ll be Obama just loves that!
Well, good for you Jerry and the rest of the far left zealots! Citizens of this great state already pay 50% more than the rest of the US for their power and now, in just a few more months, they will be hit with a 7% increase on top of that! Governor Brown joked that, “There are people who think we can drill our way to happiness and prosperity. Instead of just taking oil from thousands of miles away, we’re taking the sun and converting it.”
Good for you governor! Bravo and a high five! I’m sure the middle class, over which you rule so effectively, will appreciate the great strides you and your ilk are making to make California unlivable. While the estimated 12% unemployed sit at home watching the electric meter spin merrily away, they can take solace in the fact that even if they had a job, they probably could not afford to commute to work with gas prices going through the roof. Soon, even that issue will be problematic as corporate America continues to make tracks to ‘greener’ pastures.
