After the mess we had in the spring of 2015 with both River Run and Shadowrock Parks under water for the entire spring and summer season, one can only hope that 2016 will be a kinder and gentler year!
It’s April the 10th and the tri-lake system that is comprised of Beaver Lake, Taneycomo and Bull Shoals looks to be in tip top shape! The most recent map of the respective lake levels (left to right; Beaver, Table Rock and Bull Shoals) shows graphically what happened last year (the green line). By the 23rd of April, River Run had already begun to flood along the interior depression. By the end of May, both parks were under water and stayed under water for the balance of the spring and summer months! The question, on many minds, is will that repeat again this year? [Me in 2021 – Yes, just about every year!]
