First wintry mix for SW MO seen on Dec 13!

Yellow band of light rain had a sliver of pink (sleet) embedded in it!

On what was the first ‘consistently’ chilly day of the late fall season, my town of Forsyth MO saw it’s first light impact of sleet for the season. And while the band (pinkish area) was rather narrow, it did bring with it a promise of more wintry precipitation as we dive into the winter of 20-21.

Shortly thereafter, we had our first snowfall of the season! It didn’t stick as the air temperature was 38°F. This was going on at about 11AM CST.

After it stopped, we ended up with about 2 inches of the white stuff.
