DanO Diet – Day 5 of 7!

I guess it may be time to unveil the truth. This diet was actually my DanO Weight Gain Diet all along! Surprise! And what a great job I had done thus far!

In point of fact, I was guessing that ‘chronic Covid-19 induced depression’ (CID) was having a bigger effect on my body, than I had first thought. It wasn’t that I was gaining all that much weight… actually considering my food intake, I was doing remarkably well. Anyway, I still had three days to turn this effort around.

9:00 AM – So, it was back to a much more moderate breakfast for me. One of my staple morning meal-a-deals is a half glass of milk, a single fried egg and a slice of toast. That comes in at only about 240 calories. I also was seeing celery sticks, clearly in my immediate future, as I attempted to make it to the lunchtime hour alive.

12:00 Noon – Back to the basics with a hamburger patty and some grilled veggies. This is a pretty good meal which I’ve talked about in the past. Much of the grease stays on the griddle surface with the veggies adding some fiber and low carbs.

So, with lunch in the rear view mirror combined with the fact that I got in some decent exercise, I only had to make it through dinner… Hmm. I’m thinking of dinner. Now, I’m hungry again…

4:00 PM – Yes. There was hope for me yet. I settled for a few beers and some potato chips, later in the evening, as a sort of liquid diner type meal. With my exercise my caloric intake was in the 1500′ range.
