I recently sent Missouri Governor Mike Parson a test message asking him if he planned to bolster out 2nd Amendment privileges in the face of an almost certain assault on them at the Federal level by Biden and company. Here is the test of the response;
This letter is to acknowledge the receipt of your correspondence to Governor Michael L. Parson.
Thank you for taking the time to contact our office and share your concerns. Governor Parson is committed to continuing to ensure the safety of his constituents and appreciates your recommendations in this area.
As Governor and former sheriff, Governor Parson believes that protecting the citizens of our state is of the utmost importance. Governor Parson believes that there is a difference between protecting the second amendment rights of law abiding citizens and violent criminals. He is committed to helping law enforcement have the means necessary to keep constituents safe, but is not going to use the second amendment as a qualification for violent criminals to carry or possess arms. Governor Parson is a firm believer in protecting Missouri citizens’ access to the second amendment and will continue partnering with the federal, state, local, and community levels to work together toward that goal.
Again, thank you for your correspondence. Please do not hesitate to contact our office if we may be of assistance in the future.
Office of Governor Michael L. Parson
They, in essence, sent me back a form letter that said absolutely nothing of any substance! And, it was even not palmed off as being directly from his desk! Rather it came from the department of Constituent Services, whatever the socialist hell that is.
In the letter, and by some miracle, the Governor understands that ‘there is a difference between protecting the second amendment rights of law abiding citizens and violent criminals’. OK. I think most of us already knew that. But, it didn’t come close to answering the question I asked. That being, do you have our six. Mike, if push comes to shove?
